Continuing our clockwise visit around World Showcase at Epcot, we have now passed by the Mexico, Norway and China pavilions. We have now arrived in the Germany Pavilion. I’m not a huge fan of this pavilion, I find there is little that interests me personally.
The miniature train set that is just outside the pavilion did keep my nephews entertained for a good few minutes. It was probably the one item they found the most interesting in the entire World Showcase.
There is no ride here. The original plans way back did include a boat ride but it was dropped as a cost cutting measure.
As per the other pavilions there is some shopping available which I’ll cover in a future post.
I can’t say I actually know what German food is but as a vegetarian, it sounds pretty meat based with sausages, bratwurst and frankfurter and weinersnitzel. There is a sit down restaurant called Biergarten with an Oktoberfest-style beer hall with shared tables and German entertainment.
There is also a counter service location called Sommerfest which seems to serve… German food.
We have never dined in either of these locations.
Now the one place I can recommend for a quick afternoon snack is Karamelle-Kuche. This is a bakery type location with lots of chocolate and caramel. We tried a salted-caramelly-chocolate something and it was amazing!
