Seeking descendants of George and Emily Mary Bates (nee Tunney) who are buried at Tweed Heads, NSW.

Last week while trawling through the Antiques Centre at Coolangatta on my lunch break, I stumbled across an old family album.

No way that I was leaving without it – to me, something with such sentimental value is worth a lot more than the $10 I paid for it. To be fair its not in great condition – its clearly got wet and gone a bit mouldy over the years but its fascinating reading including some letters, a diary of Dan Bates when he immigrated to Australia in 1912, and family photos.

So without further ado, if you know any descendants of the following family history summary please get them to message me. I’d love to reunite the album with the family.
