In the diary entry back from 19th August 1941, Grandad wrote “Went in lorries to Army Dump of El Kibrit about 10 miles away.  Passed through another sector of Ismailia.  Stacked wood all day.  Boys did not like it.”  This photo may well have been taken on this particular day.
