Mum bought some slides back from New Zealand. Over the last week I have converted them to digital format. So for the first time, after 35 years we can actually now see these photos. This is the second set which feature the 25th Anniversary parade. Please forgive the somewhat blurry photos – we are spoilt nowadays … Continue reading
Mum bought some slides back from New Zealand. Over the last week I have converted them to digital format. So for the first time, after 35 years we can actually now see these photos. I’m in the white t-shirt, my brother is the little boy in the red t-shirt and Mum is the woman in the … Continue reading
Usually I’m one to fastidiously plan a trip months ahead of travel but with needing to use up the last of my leave before starting a new job on Monday (yikes!), an immediate plan was put in place. Researched on Thursday, booked on Friday and travelled the following Wednesday. I initially looked at tours but … Continue reading
Moving further clockwise from Italy Pavilion, and past the American Adventure on our stroll around the World Showcase at Epcot, we arrive at the Japan Pavilion. I love this pavilion. The gardens are beautiful, the entertainment such as the Taiko Drummers is amazing and the shopping is IMO the best there is in Epcot. I’ll cover that in another post … Continue reading
These little 32% lead crystal & 24k gold plated figurines I bought some years ago online. Originally they were $125 each (according to the price stickers) and I paid $25 for the lot. Each measures about 4cm tall. The boxes say made in Austria, I believe from a company called Lencia. They were probably made in the … Continue reading
Sitting on the window sill in my kitchen is this ceramic Pooh trinket container. I adore him, he just looks so happy sitting there storing my odds and ends.
Next up around World Showcase after the Italy Pavilion at Epcot in Walt Disney World is the American Adventure, however on our trip we didn’t stop in except for a rather awful lunch (yeah, should have gone to Morocco). Our next stop therefore was the Japan Pavilion where the Taiko drummers were performing. I hope you enjoy … Continue reading
Once again continuing our stroll around the World Showcase at Epcot, we stop briefly at the Italy Pavilion. I say briefly as similarly with the Germany pavilion previously there is little of interest here (at least to me). No ride, no movie. There are a couple of shops – Italian masks and assorted souvenirs such as t-shirts, bags, scarves … Continue reading
It wouldn’t be Walt Disney World without extensive shopping experiences and the Germany Pavilion is no exception. Apparently in Germany they celebrate Christmas year round which is why they have a number of Christmas trees and dozens of decorations to choose from – even though we visited in September. This is also where they have … Continue reading
Most of the items in my Disney collection are Disney authorised and approved, however a friend of mine who got a new woodworking tool of some type made this Mickey Mouse for me. Isn’t it cool? You can’t see in the photo but he has a tail too.
Continuing our clockwise visit around World Showcase at Epcot, we have now passed by the Mexico, Norway and China pavilions. We have now arrived in the Germany Pavilion. I’m not a huge fan of this pavilion, I find there is little that interests me personally. The miniature train set that is just outside the pavilion did keep my nephews entertained for … Continue reading
Although I’m not a massive Alice in Wonderland movie fan, I do love the bright, colourful artwork from the movie and of course one of my doglet’s is called Alice. Therefore I couldn’t resist these Alice in Wonderland plates which I got a few years ago at Disneyland. We have put them in the wall in our … Continue reading
So like Mexico and Norway previously, the China Pavilion at Epcot also has extensive shopping opportunities. Note this will be a common theme as we move through the World Showcase. Its Disney, they will part you from your money (or do their best to do so). So what kinds of items can you buy here … Continue reading
As a professional, I feel its very important when visiting clients to maintain a professional appearance. Its also important that they remember you, and the easiest way to ensure that, is to stand out from the crowd. Thats why I have a Mickey Mouse handbag. I can guarantee none of my workmates (who I … Continue reading
I confess, not only do a I own 14 weeks worth of socks, I also have far too many mugs. 🙂 These four Frozen mugs I got on our last trip to Florida. I got them at T.J. Maxx or Ross Dress for Less so they were only a couple of dollars each, rather than … Continue reading
