Grandad’s WWII Diary – 1942 Souvenir of Gethsemane – Jerusalem

In my Grandfather’s War Diary entry from Friday August 21 1942, he visits Jerusalem & Bethlehem.  He said “Saw Garden of Gethsemane in which stands Church of All Nations & Church of Virgin Mary..”

From Wikipedia – Gethsemane is a garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem most famous as the place where Jesus prayed and his disciples slept the night before Jesus’ crucifixion.

My Grandfather most likely was given (or purchased) this little leaflet on his visit that day.
