This is the second set of photos of the people of Inle Lake. They live in mostly wooden homes resting on stilts. As they live in and on a lake, the primary mode of transport is these small wooden boats or canoes.
This series of photos highlight the Inle Lake people as they go about their day on the lake – the brightly coloured boats with seats are the tourist boats.

I would guess the water in the lake to be highly polluted with human waste?
Can’t say it’s something that our guide talked to us about, as they have gardens and produce they may use it for composting. I wouldn’t drink the water out the lake though 🙂
