The people of Inle Lake live in mostly wooden homes resting on stilts. As they live in and on a lake, the primary mode of transport is these small wooden boats or canoes.
This series of photos highlight the Inle Lake people as they go about their day on the lake – the brightly coloured boats with seats are the tourist boats.

Didn’t see any at Inle Lake but we did at Bagan… coming up in a future installment 🙂
Any tips for Bagan? We are here now and loving it 🙂 looking forward to Inle lake!
one of the best things we did in Bagan was just wander around the stupas near our hotel, we had them to ourselves. Much smaller and more intimate than the bigger touristed ones.
