Wednesday November 5th

214th Day

Straight out on manoeuvres.  Seems rather tough after away week.

Thursday November 6th

215th Day

Paraded crook (unwell) – wog stomach. E.D.  Caught up writing. Great air activity during day heading towards Libya.

Friday November 7th

216th Day

Issued with battle dress.  Still E.D.  Continued writing.  Jerry planes over at night.

Saturday November 8th

217th Day

On duty again. Usual parade.  Afternoon saw N.Z Div playing South Africans.  6-14.

Sunday November 9th

218th Day

Church parade then speech by Hargood.  Made great speech.  You’ll be ???, you’ll be thirsty, you’ll be hungry but you will still go.  Looks as if we will soon be in action.

Monday November 10th

219th Day

Fixing(?) all gear during morning then swim.  Visited YMCA at night.

Tuesday November 11th

220th Day

Packed up gear.  Left Baggush Box in ??? tranport.  Travelled westwards along ??? road then ??? southwards by ??? ???.  Pitched camp at 5PM.  Sleeping under stars.

Wednesday November 12th

221st Day

Stayed camped here believe waiting for 4th & 6th brigades.  Day free.  Great convey stretching over horizon in every direction.  Planes flying westwards all day.

Thursday November 13th

222nd Day

Remained here, Had platoon photos taken. Jerry bombed some place at night. See may flashes. Believed to be Masra(?).
