Attractions to skip at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – by kids (and adults)

Following on from last week’s Attractions to skip at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, today we will be covering attractions to skip at Disney’s Hollywood Studios if you are time poor.

At the moment, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is about to kick off a major expansion (and name change) with Star Wars and Toy Story lands coming to the park over the next few years.  However, the actual number of attractions in the park has been steadily decreasing over the last few years.  Having said that, the boys particularly enjoyed a number of attractions here and if asked, it was likely their favourite park.

So without further ado, the list of attractions to “skip” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Oldest son (11) – loved everything we did, he said he would have happily repeated everything we did here.  Even when pressed, he couldn’t think of anything he didn’t enjoy here.

Middle son (8) – The Great Movie Ride – too slow, boring, and he didn’t know the movies.

Youngest son (6) – Beauty and the Beast stage show, he said it was too loud and when I prompted him further, he said he didn’t like the movie particularly anyway (too girly)

Dad (38) – The Great Movie Ride – far too outdated and corny.  Adults in the group agreed a revamp could make this a wow attraction, but most of us hadn’t seen any of these old movies.

Mum (39) – The Great Movie Ride – as above

Aunt (41) – The Great Movie Ride – as above

Uncle (41) – Lights, Motors, Action Car Stunt Show, while the boys loved this (along with the Indiana Jones one) the adults in the group were torn between this and The Great Movie Ride for “skipping”.  Light, Motors, Action… seen it once and wouldn’t want to see it again, luckily this likely will be gone with the park expansion.

Nana (71) – Lights, Motors, Action – as above

We pretty much did most attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios excepting Toy Story Mania as we couldn’t get a Fastpass and we had done it at Disneyland.  The kids and Dad also didn’t see the Voyage of the Little Mermaid (they were riding Star Tours … again).    None of us saw Disney Junior Live on Stage, even the youngest is probably getting a little old for that one.
